About The Blog

My name is Phoebe, and when I was 36 years old, on November 2 of 2011, I was diagnosed with Stage IIB cervical cancer. The tumor was inoperable and my treatment began almost immediately.  Chemotherapy.  Radiation Therapy.  Brachytherapy.  Loads of fun stuff. My husband, Ryan, started this blog for us to keep those we love "up to date" on my progress, but it's turned into so much more.  And despite now being officially in remission, I will never stop being a cancer survivor.  I will never unlive the months I spent in treatment and will never unlearn the things having cancer has taught me. I cannot imagine going through this entire experience without this blog.  It, and everyone who followed along, left me comments and gave me support, kept me sane and got me through all of the worst days. Thanks to all who come here.  If the things I write help even ONE person going through what I went through, then it is all worth the time and effort.
Thanks for coming...

Xxo, Phoebe (and sometimes Ryan)
